Plans & Progress is committed to making plansandprogress.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with disabilities, and more comfortable for everyone.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link at the top.
- Pages use clear headings and landmarks, so screen reader users can move around them easily.
- Text and buttons meet WCAG contrast requirements, including text placed over photos.
- Decorative photos are hidden from screen readers so they don’t add noise, and we describe any image that carries information.
- Layouts adapt to phones, tablets and zoomed-in browsers without losing content.
- Animation is kept to a minimum and turns off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- We test the site with automated accessibility tools and by hand.
Known limitations
Some content, such as embedded videos or posts from other websites and files from third-party services, may not fully meet these standards. We are working to improve this, and we can provide information from any page in another format on request.
Feedback
If you run into a barrier on this site, or need information in a different format, please contact us. Tell us the page and the problem, and we will reply within five business days and work to fix it.
